We had parent-teacher conferences last week.  Lily’s teacher Ms. Yackle ended the conference by saying, “Lily Tackett can do anythingshe wants.”  I told Lily this and she thought for a while and said. “I’d like some ice cream.”

Ms. Yackle said that Lily has a very broad base of knowledge–from math to reading to the arts.  She thought this broad base would really serve her well.

Noah led his conference and showed us a portfolio of his work.  He explained why he would miss one here or there on a test or assignment.  I found myself thinking, “Oh Noah, just get a B already” and then understood why my Dad always said that to me.  He scored off the charts on his standardized I Sat scores, and he is busy planning his college career at MIT.

  1. Congratulations to the Tackett students who received good reviews from their teachers. Grandpa and I are so proud of you. Of course Grandpa always says you get some of your intelligence and drive from him:) Love you both. G-ma H
