I had the first day of summer break off, and the kids and I had a great day enjoying the beautiful weather! We played some wiffle ball, doble dutch, and enjoyed a fire and some star gazing with Noah’s telescope. We saw the rings of Saturn and Jupiter’s moons!
Noah said corn on the cob is the smell of summer and no school!
Saturday Nathan, Lily, and I went to a very fun graduation party for Sherri’s daughter Savannah. Then I went out to celebrate Liza’s graduation from nursing school with Dawn and Stephanie. I am so proud of Liza!
Today was the last day of school for Noah and Lily. Noah will be going into 8th grade, his last year of middle school, and Lily will be going into 5th grade, her last year of elementary school. So next year I will be a sentimental wreck. But this year I enjoyed taking the kids to school, helping at Noah’s field day, and going bowling with the kids, their friends, and my friends. Friends are so important at any age….
Lily’s new hobby is making rolly polly homes. They never live. This is a vivid memory from my childhood as well.
Lola came to Noah’s baseball game tonight. She was so impressed at all of the touchdowns Noah made and his amazing dribbling ability. She thought he just ate food and played video games but turns out he’s a talented athlete. Also she enjoyed all of the other canines at the ballfield. And the popcorn.
Lily and Lola are inseparable these days. I’m glad they have each other. Lily comes home from school and walks Lola and then they take care of her flowers together.
Happy Memorial Day! T4 hiked and then biked. We were going to swim too but a storm came through.
I couldn’t pick just one picture from today. It was a beautiful day. We spent it hiking, picnicing, and horseback riding. I didn’t even get kicked by my horse, Montana!
I spent most of the day driving yesterday…ice skating, graduation parties, hiking.
