Best friends forever.
Best friends forever.
After an amazing 10 hours of sleep in my own bed, I had a fun day at home with the kids. There was laundry to do and groceries to buy but we also went to Panera for lunch. During the relay we stopped at Panera for dinner but my stomach was too upset to eat the soup or salad. So I had to have that meal. The kids love Panera, so I didn’t have to convince them to join me….
Mindy and Jazmin were in my car for the relay, so we bonded over 3 days and 2 nights with little sleep. Here they are ready to run on tutus!
Our team had two vehicles and one had to be towed out of a ditch…just a bump in the road on the relay.
My team of 9 girls at the starting line. Just 339 miles to the end of the relay!
Today I rode in the backseat of my friend Betsy’s car from the Quad Cities to Souix City, Iowa, for Relay Iowa. I am on a team of 9 women, and we will run 339 miles across Iowa over 3 days amd 2 nights.
Underdog!
Baseball is exhausting.
I had the first day of summer break off, and the kids and I had a great day enjoying the beautiful weather! We played some wiffle ball, doble dutch, and enjoyed a fire and some star gazing with Noah’s telescope. We saw the rings of Saturn and Jupiter’s moons!
Noah said corn on the cob is the smell of summer and no school!
